DESCRIPTION:Join The Well in their Walnut Hills space for a free book club.\nMeet for an approachable dive into a book\, discussing a highlighted and provided selection (in case you can’t read the entire book) while also learning and exploring somatic practices inspired by the book. \nFor our fourth session\, author Rob Dorgan will be presenting his novel Awakening the Mystic: A Novel of Cosmic Love and Healing. Yoga teacher Ren Devlin’s life is forever changed after he performs what the world proclaims to be a “miracle” in front of hundreds of shocked onlookers. Lauded as a spiritual healer\, Ren is thrust into the limelight\, along with his beloved life partner\, Sean. Ren seeks answers through deep meditation\, during which he encounters his “council”—the gods and goddesses of the zodiac—who steer him down a path of spiritual healing. To find peace\, Ren must face the negative views that his childhood religion of Catholicism has toward the LGBTQ+ community and women\, battle his own ego\, and come to terms with his fear of death and being alone without Sean. Awakening the Mystic is an exploration of higher consciousness\, the practice of yoga and meditation\, and a journey to discover what love and healing really mean.
